Is Your Prayer Life Stuck in a Rut?

Flower blowing seeds in air

Do you feel you are praying the same prayers day after day? Do you feel like you are stuck in a rut in your prayer life? Do you feel like giving up?

Sometimes we just need fresh ideas to help us engage in meaningful prayer. Using God’s own words to pray back to Him is a powerful way to pray. We know when we pray this way we are praying according to His will. His words are powerful and encouraging and will build up our faith and give us hope and assurance that He hears us.

The psalms are filled with many prayers we can use to pray for others. Choose a scripture and insert the name of the person for whom you are praying. Below are a few examples:

Create in ________ a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within him/her (Ps. 51:10).

For your name’s sake, bring _________ out of trouble and preserve his/her life (Ps. 143:11).

Guard the life of _________ your faithful one (Ps 97:10).

Do not let ________stray from your commands. May he/she hide your word in their heart that they may not sin against you (Ps. 119:10-11).

May our children ____________ be a godly heritage from the Lord (Ps. 127:3).

Below is a form with the link to download the appendix of my book: LORD, IT’S BORING IN MY PRAYER CLOSET where you will find scriptural prayers to pray like those above under various topics such as: Healing, Trouble & Protection, Guidance, etc.
